Duo Resonado
Hailed by the press as a “magnificent duo,” Duo Resonado captivates its audience with passionate, rousing, and virtuosic performances. Venezuelan violinist and singer Alejandro Carrillo and German-Portuguese guitarist and composer Fabian Zeller present a unique repertoire that breaks down stylistic boundaries, builds new bridges, and seems to know no limits when it comes to creativity. Whether through modern interpretations of folk music from Venezuela and Brazil, or through Tango Nuevo, Latin jazz, classical music, and original compositions—the two artists enchant their listeners with imaginative arrangements and take them on a journey through their diverse soundscape. They are always eager to experiment and leave room for refreshing improvisations.
The duo Resonado has been on tour since 2012 and has already gained international recognition through countless concerts on major stages and at highly regarded music festivals.
Alejandro Carrillo
Venezuelan violinist and singer Alejandro Carrillo gave his first concert as a soloist at the age of 4. Since then, he has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the “Orchestra Filarmonica Nacional” de Venezuela. As an orchestral musician, he performs with orchestras and ensembles including the “Orchestra Simon Bolivar,” the “Filarmonica de Jalisco,” the “Neues Kammerorchester Potsdam,” and the “Bolivar Soloists,” and is a co-founder of “Alcaba, El Cuarteto de Venezuela” and the Duo Resonado. Coming from a family of musicians, the artist has been playing and singing Latin American folk music since early childhood. Numerous concerts in Latin America and Europe with the “Alcaba” quartet—composed of his family members—as well as competition prizes such as first prize at the “Maurice Hasson” Competition (2004) have earned him widespread recognition. Alejandro Carrillo studied violin at institutions including the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and the Rostock University of Music and Drama under professors such as Ulf Wallin, Stefan Hempel, and Axel Wilczok. Since the 2018–2019 season, he has served as concertmaster of the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck.
